Apaleo
Which apps run hotel operations on Apaleo, and what should you check?
Short answer
Apaleo is a PMS with an open API, so guest messaging, online check-in, upsell, staff communication and housekeeping usually come from separate apps that connect to it. Before connecting one, check what it reads and writes back, where it keeps data, how it prices, and whether it is a certified app in the Apaleo Store.

Key facts
- Apaleo keeps reservations, rates and folios; apps add the rest.
- Store listings require a registered Connect client using OAuth.
- Only certified integrations are published in the Apaleo Store.
- Check write-back, data location, pricing and how you leave.
- Oste is built for Apaleo and is not affiliated with Apaleo.
What kinds of apps connect to Apaleo?
- Guests and revenue: online check-in, upsell of extras, guest messaging, reviews, membership.
- Team: chat, shift handover, rota and hours, training.
- Operations: room status, housekeeping, maintenance, stock.
- Money and data: payments, revenue management, reporting.
Some apps do one of these well; some cover several. Fewer apps means fewer logins and fewer places where guest data lives, but one app doing everything can also do some things less well. Decide per hotel.
How does the Apaleo Store work?
According to Apaleo’s developer guide, only apps registered as Apaleo Connect clients, which sign in with the OAuth authorization code flow, can have a store listing, and only certified integrations are published and visible to hoteliers. A listing in the store therefore tells you an app has been through Apaleo’s process.
What should you check before connecting an app?
- What it reads from Apaleo and what it writes back, field by field.
- Where the data is kept, and whether the vendor acts as your processor under GDPR.
- How it prices: per user, per room or per property, and with which minimums.
- Whether your whole team can use it, including on their own phones and in their language.
- How you export your data and disconnect when you leave.
Where does Oste fit?
Oste covers guests and revenue, Oste AI, the team and operations in one system on top of Apaleo, with modules a hotel switches on as needed. It is in build, it is not yet listed in the Apaleo Store, and founding pilots are targeting early 2027.
Questions people ask
Is Oste in the Apaleo Store?
Not yet. Oste is in build. A store listing needs a certified Connect app, which is planned before pilots.
Is Oste affiliated with Apaleo?
No. Oste is built for Apaleo through its open API and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apaleo.
Does Apaleo include housekeeping?
Ask Apaleo for its current scope. Many Apaleo hotels add an operations app; check what each one writes back to the PMS.
