Housekeeping

Rooms in the order arrivals need them. Ready in Oste means ready in the PMS.

Live

Hotel housekeeping software gives each attendant the rooms to turn, in the order the next arrivals need them, with the hotel’s own checklist, and sends the room status back to the PMS when the work is done.

What does Oste housekeeping do?

Attendants turn rooms on their phone with two taps a step, even with no signal. Supervisors inspect and mark rooms out of order. Snags go out with a photo and come back done. The room board for the whole hotel updates as the work happens.

  • Room turns with your own checklist
  • Inspections and out of order
  • Snags, tasks and recurring checks
  • Room status written back to the PMS

Who is it for?

The head of housekeeping (Hausdame, governante), room attendants, supervisors and the front desk who wait for the “ready” call. It suits an independent hotel or a small group on Apaleo, from about 20 rooms.

How does it work with Apaleo?

Oste reads arrivals, departures and room status from Apaleo and orders the cleaning by the next arrival. When an attendant finishes and a supervisor inspects, the status is written back, so the front desk never types it twice. Rooms and money stay in Apaleo.

What do the room status codes mean?

VD is vacant dirty, VC vacant clean, OD occupied dirty, OC occupied clean, OOO out of order and OOS out of service. Oste shows them as plain words on the board. The glossary explains each code and how hotels use it.

How Oste works with Apaleo

What does it cost?

The core is from €5 per room per month, with a minimum of 20 rooms (€100 a month). Housekeeping adds from €1 per room per month.

Founding price, draft: the price model is not final and nothing can be bought yet.

What it does not do yet

Housekeeping runs end to end, including the write-back, in the demo hotel against Apaleo’s sandbox. No hotel runs on Oste yet: founding pilots are planned for early 2027. Other PMSs are not connected yet.

Questions hotels ask

Is there a housekeeping app for Apaleo hotels?

Oste is being built for exactly that: it connects to Apaleo through its open API and writes room status back. It runs in the demo hotel today, and founding pilots are planned for early 2027.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Attendants keep working in a basement corridor or a room with no signal. Their steps are kept on the phone and sent when the connection returns.

Can we use our own checklist?

Yes. You set the steps per room type and department. A printable room attendant checklist is free on this site to start from.

Does it track individual attendants’ performance?

Per-person performance analytics are off by default. Oste is built to plan and explain the work, not to rank people.
