## What is Oste?

### What is Oste?

Oste is hotel operations software for independent hotels on Apaleo. It runs everything that isn’t the booking: guest profiles with spend and extras, upsell and online check-in, a team that works in its own language, the live day and the numbers. You can ask the hotel anything, and describe the tools you need.

### What does the name mean?

Oste (OS-teh) is Italian for the innkeeper, the host who knows the house.

### Who is Oste for?

Independent hotels and small groups on Apaleo, from about 20 rooms, that want guests, revenue, team and operations in one system.

### Does Oste replace the PMS?

No. The PMS owns rooms, rates, bookings and money. Oste works next to it and reads from it.

## Can I use it today?

### Can I buy Oste today?

In build. Founding pilots targeting early 2027. Oste cannot be bought yet.

### Can I try it?

Yes. The demo hotel shows the design with invented guests and rooms, with no sign-up.

### What is a founding hotel?

One of 10 founding hotels that shape Oste before pilots and go live first. They pay the same public price and keep it for 24 months.

## What does it cost?

### How much does Oste cost?

From €5 per room per month for the core (founding price, subject to change), minimum 20 rooms, everyone on the team included, API included, no setup fees, 30-day trial. Modules are +€0.50 to +€1 per room each; Oste AI and the Oste Concierge are +€5 per room each. Every module switches on or off any month. The same public price for every hotel; founding hotels keep it for 24 months.

### Do seasonal staff cost extra?

No. The price follows rooms, not people, so every colleague can have an account.

## Which PMS does it work with?

### Which PMS does Oste work with?

Built for Apaleo through its open API; Mews and other PMSs will follow. Oste is not a partner of, affiliated with or endorsed by Apaleo or Mews.

### Is Oste in the Apaleo Store?

Not yet. A store listing needs a certified Connect app, which is planned before pilots.

## What about data and AI?

### Where is the data kept?

EU data residency by default. Oste acts as the hotel’s processor under GDPR.

### What does the AI do?

AI assists, humans decide: AI drafts things like handover notes and translations, a person decides, and AI never makes hiring, disciplinary or performance decisions.

### Are guest replies sent automatically?

No. Guest-facing drafts are sent by a person.

### Does Oste rank staff by performance?

No. Per-person performance analytics are off by default, and AI never makes hiring, disciplinary or performance decisions.
